We focus much of our attention on raising funds to send to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, but the main purpose of this organization is to spread the word about this devastating disease that affects over 30,000 Americans on a daily basis. We try to use our fundraisers as not only a source of funds, but also as a means for spreading awareness to our fellow students and the Bryan/College Station community. This past year we also had the pleasure of working closely with the Houston branch of the Foundation. We took a group of volunteers to Houston several times each semester to help the Foundation with the various fundraisers they were hosting. Once a semester in conjunction with a volunteer opportunity, we visited Texas Children's Hospital to spend some time with the CF patients and their families.
